Digital Image Submission Guidelines
Images must be submitted during the submission window according to the following specifications.
Image Size: | up to 1400 pixels wide by 1050 pixels high |
Color Profile: | sRGB IEC61966-2.1 |
File Format: | JPEG with embedded color profile |
JPEG Image Quality: | 10 or less for Photoshop (Save As) or 80% or less for other methods |
Submit your image(s) by logging in to mhwpc.org and going to .
Processing recipes are provided below for Photoshop (Save As), Photoshop (Save For Web), and Lightroom.

Photoshop (Save As) Processing Recipe
You may follow these steps to prepare your image in Photoshop using
.- If there are layers, flatten the image:
- If it is a 16-bit file, convert it to 8-bit:
- Size the image to fit within 1400 pixels wide by 1050 pixels high using one of the following methods:
- Method 1:
- set Width to 1400
- set Height to 1050
- click OK
(Note that older versions of Photoshop do not have this command.)
- Method 2:
- for a landscape image, set Width to 1400. If Height ends up greater than 1050, set Height to 1050 and let Width fall out.
- for a portrait or square image, set Height to 1050
- make sure Resample is checked and is set to Bicubic Sharper (reduction)
- click OK
- Method 1:
- Optionally, sharpen the image to taste using your favorite technique
- Convert to sRGB IEC61966-2.1 colorspace:
- set Destination Space : Profile to sRGB IEC61966-2.1
- set Conversion Options : Engine to Adobe (ACE)
- set Conversion Options : Intent to Relative Colorimetric
- make sure Use Black Point Compensation is checked
- make sure Use Dither is checked
- click OK
- Save the file as a JPEG:
- set Format to JPEG
- make sure Color: Embed Color Profile: sRGB IEC61966-2.1 is checked
- set the file name to anything you want; here it's my amazing picture.jpg
- select a destination folder; here it's MHWPC to submit
- click Save
- set Image Options : Quality to 10 or less
- select Format Options : Baseline Optimized
- click OK

Photoshop (Save For Web) Processing Recipe
You may follow these steps to prepare your image in Photoshop using
.- Select
- set the pop-up menu under Preset to JPEG
- set the pop-up menu under JPEG to Very High so that Quality shows 80
- make sure Optimized in checked
- make sure Embed Color Profile in checked
- make sure Convert to sRGB in checked
- Image Size
- for a landscape image, set W to 1400. If H ends up greater than 1050, set H to 1050 and let W fall out.
- for a portrait or square image, set H to 1050
- set Quality to Bicubic Sharper
- click Save…
- Save the file
- set the file name to anything you want; here it's my amazing picture.jpg
- select a destination folder; here it's MHWPC to submit
- click Save

Lightroom Processing Recipe
You may follow these steps to prepare your image in Lightroom.
- In the module, click
- Set the file destination
- set Export To to Hard Drive
- Export Location section
- set Export To to Specific Folder
- set the Folder to the desired location using the Choose… button
- Set the file contents by scrolling down
- File Settings section
- set Image Format to JPEG
- set Quality to 80
- set Color Space to sRGB
- make sure Limit File Size To is not checked
- Image Sizing section
- make sure Resize to Fit is checked and set to Width & Height
- set W to 1400
- set H to 1050
- click
