Cottonwood River Ripples
Ronald Eberhart
Subject:
Cottonwood seeds on River Bottom
Location:
Capitol Reef National Park - Fruita, Utah
Description:
A storm washed this riverbed clean and brought in fresh Navajo sand overnight. As the storm clears the water quickly sinks into this dry, thirsty land. A gentle breeze at dawn gave flight to fresh cottonwood seeds and they landed softly on their prepared resting place.
