Description:
This is a closeup image of a Whipple's fishhook cactus (Sclerocactus whipplei var. roseus). The cactus is also known as Whipple's cholla or simply fishhook cactus. It reminded me of candy with crystals of sugar inside. I used extension tubes to allow for even closer focus with a 100mm macro lens.
