Kaleidoscoped Blackbird
Jan Forseth
Digital art of a yellow-headed blackbird
Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge, Utah
I've been having fun lately with a Photoshop action that turns a pie-shaped section of an image into something you would see through a kaleidoscope. Here is an image that started its life as a yellow-headed blackbird, (Xanthocephalus xanthocephalus) and got turned into some sort of strange bat-like creature. The original starting image, from which a very small pie-shaped section was taken, can be seen at http://tinyurl.com/bryhbb
