Hawk Owl in Flight

Description:
The day was unseasonably warm and the last rays of sun made the world gold with color when at last a single Northern hawk-owl flew low over a field of harvested hay. I was so excited and nervous, to get a shot of this fast little owl that I so hoped to see while on my trip to Canada. But with the added light of the snow on the ground to help my shutter speed, I captured this image. It became one that was my favorite of the trip.
