The lagoon nebula
Roger Clark
Subject:
deep space
Location:
made from San Luis Valley
Description:
The lagoon nebula, Messier 8 is in Sagittarius and is a nice sight in small telescopes in the summer. Some color can be seen in large amateur telescopes.
This is a 19 minute exposure with a 300 mm f/2.8 lens and stock Canon 7D2 camera. This is a natural color image. The pinks are from glowing hydrogen, the green-teal is oxygen. Burnt orange is interstellar dust. More info on my website, clarkvision.com
Can you see the monster's face in the Lagoon?
