Mile High Wildlife Photo Club

August 2009 Meeting Summary

< Previous Meeting | Index | Next Meeting > The August meeting featured a different kind of "program" from the norm. Club members were treated to a special guided tour of the new Wildlife Experience addition – “Globology”. Jessy Clark, who has been with The Wildlife Experience since it’s opening, took extra time to give the club a personal, private tour of their new building and its exhibits. Jessy has been involved with the design, development, and building of “Globology” from the beginning. She truly added to the membership’s enjoyment and understanding of the exhibit with her personal insights along the exhibit route and her introductory statement before the tour. “Globology” itself was quite interesting, showing eight different climates and habitats on the planet, including rain forests, temperate forests, the arctic, the desert, central Africa, and coral reefs. The exhibits feature an engaging mix of sounds, realistic modeling of each habitat, animal exhibits, and animatronics. Thank you for the tour, Jessy! < Previous Meeting | Index | Next Meeting >
