Remote Flash Set up

Was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what the best way is to set up an off-camera flash (as in 20' or so away from the camera). Obviously on a tripod with a remote, but any suggestions as to what works best, and how far away I can be?

Thanks.

I assume you are looking for something that works outdoors. I would be looking at radio control triggers. The strobist group that I belong to had a summary discussion about the various options. You may want to read this message: http://www.flickr.com/groups/coloradostrobist/discuss/72157607960025324/?search=radio
