Fall Colors Update

Hi,
I got back yesterday from several days at the Maroon Bells and Crystal River areas. The Maroon Bells and vicinity has significantly less color this year. It is due to a fungus on the leaves, due to excessive moisture this spring and summer, I was told. There is more snow this year than in years past though. I did get some nice snow and fog conditions Tues. morning that produced some nice images. Otherwise that area and the area around Marble are not as colorful as in past years. The lower elevations of Aspen and the Crystal River are still green though and may still provide some color. I am hoping to head over to Crested Butte/Kebler Pass next week to check that out.
If anyone is heading that way this weekend, I would appreciate a report and I'll pass on what I see in return next week.
Travel safely!
