Does anyone own or have experience with the Sony Alpha 77 Mark II? I recently purchased one and am not satisfied with the image quality. I would like to compare notes with anyone else.

I've been using one for about a year - I was one of the first in the country to own it - and before that shot almost exclusively with the alpha 77. My only dissatisfaction is that, more often than not, my images of birds in flight are not as sharp as I might want them. The autofocus tracking is hard to master - and I am certainly not where I want to be yet. That said, the issue is too complex to be addressed in writing. Give me a call at home (303-344-9544) - I am usually in after about 2:00 pm weekdays - and we can talk about it further.
Take care,
Steve Goodman

I have the big brother to the 77 the a99. I love this camera and the results that I get with it. I do see a problem however shooting birds in flight or things of that nature if you do not have the new ss lens. the old focus can be slow and awkward. It is not a problem for me much sine I do primarily landscape, but I would certainly be looking for the best glass you can find. I am not sure what you mean that you are not satisfied with the image quality. Is that from issues that Steve and I have raised? Or is there some other quality issue you are having? I get great results and I have seen many of Steves photos as well and they look good, so not sure of the problem you are having, but let us know and we may be able to help or point you someplace.
