I have the opportunity to add to an already scheduled trip to Ndutu, February 2012, a few days in Rwanda to photograph the gorillas. I know that some members have been to Rwanda to do the same. Any suggestions on which park and which guide service to use would be appreciated. Also, would it be better to schedule the gorillas in late January or late February, ie before or after Ndutu which is 2/6 - 2/14?
Thanks! Terri Watson

I agree with Charlie. Primate Safaris and mid to late February is a great way/time to go. Enjoy!

Terri,
Another consideration, the altitude in Volcanos National Park is 7000 ft and up. It may be easier to adjust for the thin air and perhaps strenuous hike if you come directly from Denver than to do it after sitting in a van for a week or two. It depends on your age and condition. I've been there in January in the rain and it made for lovely photos.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. We will check out Primate Safaris. Having your recommendations increases our confidence in having a successful trip if we are able to add it on. Thanks again. Terri
